Privacy Notice

What we collect

The site has no user accounts, comments or sign-up forms, and it does not ask you to submit personal information. Information is processed in three ways: technical requests needed to deliver pages, the analytics and advertising scripts described below, and emails you choose to send.

Hosting and server logs

The site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Delivering a page involves standard request information such as your IP address, the time of the request, the page requested, browser details and the referring page. Cloudflare processes and retains this information under its own privacy policy.

Font files are served from the same domain as the pages, so loading the site's typography does not contact Google Fonts or another font provider.

Analytics

Every page loads Google Analytics 4, which measures visits for every visitor by default. Google may receive the page URL, an approximate location derived from your IP address, browser and device information, referral information, session activity and a randomly generated analytics identifier. We use the aggregate reports to learn which guides are useful and to improve the site. Google Signals and advertising personalization in Google Analytics are turned off.

Every page also loads Cloudflare Web Analytics, which Cloudflare adds when it delivers the page. It measures page views and loading performance from details such as the page URL, the referring page and your browser, and it does not set cookies or store an identifier in your browser. Cloudflare handles this information under the privacy policy linked above.

There is currently no on-site control to opt out of analytics. You can block it with your browser's privacy settings or an extension. Google handles the information it receives under its privacy policy.

Advertising

Every page except this privacy notice loads an advertising script from Adsterra, a third-party ad network served from its own domain. Loading the script lets Adsterra receive request information such as your IP address and browser details, and it may use cookies or similar technologies under its own policies. The site's Google Analytics settings do not control Adsterra.

There is currently no on-site control to turn this advertising script off. Advertisers do not influence what our guides say.

Emails you send

If you email us, your email provider and ours process the message, your address and delivery information. We use what you send only to review your message and reply. Please do not include sensitive personal information.

If a correction includes a screenshot or recording, we do not publish personal account names or identifiers visible in it. Nothing you send is published without being checked, and you are credited only if you want to be.

Links to other websites

Guides link to official sources, stores, videos and community pages. Those websites are run independently, and their own privacy notices apply when you visit them.

Changes to this notice

This notice changes when the site's services or settings change, for example when analytics or advertising is reconfigured. The date at the top of the page shows the latest revision.
